This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) sets forth the information collection and use practices of British Caymanian Insurance Agencies Ltd. (“BritCay”) for data collected online at the BritCay-operated web site located at the internet domain (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy is subject to BritCay's Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Site, you expressly accept and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy as the same may be amended from time-to-time in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


BritCay is committed to protecting the information that our valued customers share with us. As part of this commitment we would like to share with you our guidelines for the collection and protection of your information.


This Privacy Policy is effective as of November 1, 2009. This Privacy Policy may be reviewed and amended as and when BritCay deems necessary to provide for the continued accuracy and protection of our valued customers' information. BritCay reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy from time to time without notice, which modified Privacy Policy shall be effective immediately upon posting of such modified Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any revised Privacy Policy shall be deemed to conclusively indicate your acceptance of such revised Privacy Policy. What personally identifiable information of yours is collected?

BritCay does collect “personally identifiable information” through the Site, which we define as information such as your name, address, date of birth, and other information that can be used to identify you. We collect this information through information you give us through this Site or through any other way, including the purchase of products and services.

How is the information used?

We will use your personally identifiable information to, among other things, serve you better, process your enquiry or application for each product or service together, and respond to your enquiries regarding BritCay. We may also use this information to inform you of any changes to our product and service offerings and pricing structures.

The information that we collect and retain is used to create an accurate view of each individual valued customer. In many cases the information we collect helps us to customize a product or service to met our customer's individual needs.

Customer information is also retained for historical and legal reasons.

BritCay will not sell or trade customer information with any other organization outside of BritCay.

Customer email information will not be sold or given to an email subscription or marketing organization outside BritCay without the approval of any affected individual.

We do not consider any information other than personally identifiable information communicated to BritCay (e.g., questions, comments, ideas or suggestions) confidential and we have no obligations of confidentiality to you and disclaim any such obligations with respect to such information. Additional Information Collected by BritCay on the Site

BritCay may, or may engage an independent organization, to collect certain information in anonymous and/or aggregate form in order to collect data such as the total number of visits to our Site and the number of visitors to each page of our Site. We use this information to understand how visitors use the Site so that we may improve it. We may also share this anonymous and/or aggregate information with BritCay's affiliates, subsidiaries, and third parties (as described in this Privacy Policy). You understand that such information is not personally identifiable information and that we have no obligations of confidentiality to you with respect to such information.

Log Files

As is true of most web site hosts, BritCay gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes user's Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. BritCay uses this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the Site, and track users' movements around the Site. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

All databases containing customer information are secured with encrypted passwords and only authorized personnel are given access. This access is strictly for conducting the day-to-day operation of the business.

All databases run on redundant systems that have battery backup in case of power failure. All databases are backed up on a regular basis and the backup media are stored off-site.

All databases run on systems that are protected by generally accepted industry standard security and firewall technology. We caution, however, that no method of electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect any personally identifiable information you submit through the Site, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

How can any inaccuracies in the information be corrected?

You will have the opportunity to change certain information in your customer profile that is inaccurate or otherwise outdated. For example, a change of email address would require a change of information in your customer profile.

Are children allowed to use the Site?

BritCay does not sell products for purchase by children. By use of this Site, you affirm that you are either 18 or older, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to enter into and be legally bound by these Terms. In any case, you affirm that you are at least 13 years old, as the Site is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the Site.


BritCay may place hypertext links on the Site that connect to third party web sites. You understand and agree that BritCay has no control over these third party web sites, their content, or their terms of use and privacy policies. Your use of such linked sites will be subject to such web sites' terms of use and privacy policies, so you should read them before using such sites or transmitting any information to such sites.
